Gurkha

Gurkha

The Gurkha brand of cigars is blended by the famed K. Hansotia. Gurkha Cigars strive to provide the best smoke in the cigar industry. Gurkha Cigars selectively only uses the most rare and best tobaccos for each of their fine hand-rolled cigars. These cigars are always a smoke that's heads above the competition.

Gurkha cigars might enjoy one of the most fascinating stories centered around the company's name. The name "Gurkha" refers to cigars rolled during colonial times (the late 1800's). Under British rule, colonial soldiers started rolling their own cigars from local tobacco --- since the British looked up to legendary Nepalese warriors they named the cigars "Gurkhas".

Trivia: During the Bill Clinton Presidency and the now infamous Monica Lewinsky scandal you might recall cigars used in a manner that wasn't exactly considered the "suggested" method of use by most cigar manufacturers. (A much more explicit method of cigar enjoyment!) The brand of cigar named in the federal Starr report was Gurkha, specifically Gurkha's Grand Reserve line of cigars.
