Sobremesa is a term that describes those joyous interludes that follow a meal in which conversation, libations and cigars are all that is required. It was former Drew Estate all-star Steve Saka who seized upon the idea that this would be the perfect name for a cigar. And thus his superbly blended Sobremesa series was born.
The Sobremesa Robusto Largo is a 5 ¼” x 52 cigar simply perfect for after dinner, dishing out immense cedar, earth and spice flavors that intertwine with luscious hints of coffee, nougat and tantalizing dark fruit nuances. The medium-to-full bodied experience winds down with a beautifully textured and lasting finish.
The goodness that emerges out of the Sobremesa Robusto Largo is due in part to the expert construction by the team at Joya de Nicaragua, using a daring array of filler tobaccos that include Nicaraguan Seco, Viso and Ligero leaves, as well as a hearty Pennsylvanian Broadleaf Ligero. A Mexican Matacapan Negro de Temporal binder leaf and an exquisite Oliva-grown La Meca Ecuadorian Habano Rosado wrapper finish it off.
The 50 minute or so experience that the Sobremesa Robusto Largo delivers is a wondrous journey to undertake and should be moved to the upper reaches of your cigar smoking bucket list. Available in boxes of 25 cigars, these sticks will make any occasion a Sobremesa moment.
