It's 2016's best cigar according to Cigar Aficionado and when in-stock, La Flor Dominicana's Andalusian Bull cigars don't last for long in our humidor before somebody gobbles them up.

From the mind of Litto Gomez, the Andalusian Bull is handmade in the Dominican Republic and brings together an Ecuador Corojo wrapper with a medium-to-full bodied blend of of long-filler tobacco from the Dominican Republic. Specifics on the blend itself are proprietary and held close to the vest by La Flor Dominicana but they do tell us it's a Dominican puro.

Thick and luscious, you can feel there's something special about these cigars from the moment you pick them up. At 6.5" x 54, it's a hefty smoke that's good for at least an hour --- with smokers pushing two hours worth of toasting. As for the flavors, keep your palate at attention for notes of pepper, leather and caramel with the type of balance you'd expect from a cigar that earned the title "cigar of the year" with a '96' overall rating.

Considered a small batch limited release, we don't often have the Andalusian Bull ready to ship but when we do - look for these sticks for sale in singles as well as their full box quantities of 10 cigars.

Very Impressive Start - Marathon of a CigarReview by AW
The first third of this cigar was incredible. Lots of different flavors and what might be the strongest true caramel notes I've ever experienced at one point. About half-way through the cigar, things mellowed considerably and the ride into the nub was a little slow for me. The cigar takes a while to smoke --- I was at about 2 hours, 15 minutes and could have easily stretched it to longer. If you nurse your cigars, there's a good chance 3 hours is possible. My only concern is the price tag --- $15-$20 for these cigars is pretty steep. While the cigar is clearly made of great tobacco and the construction was good as well - I'm not sure I can buy them very often and don't have 3 hours to enjoy a cigar very often either.
