The Montecristo Espada Ricasso is a brilliantly made 5” x 54 cigar that is draped with a 2010 Habana Jalapa wrapper leaf. Hidden beneath is a 2009 Habana Jalapa binder leaf that shelters a blend of vintage 2008 Habano Jalapa Seco, Habano Jalapa Viso Ometepe and Habano Condega Ligero filler tobaccos.
The 45 minutes to an hour smoke features big and bold earth, cedar and pepper notes that are supported with hearty bursts of nutmeg, cream and spice. A dash of citrus springs onto the palate during the Espada Ricasso’s spirited finale that is at once intense, complex and satisfying.
