The Arturo Fuente Canones Natural is a statement cigar — big, bold, and built for long, relaxing sessions. Measuring an impressive 8½" × 52, this Dominican masterpiece delivers the hallmark Fuente balance of flavor and refinement in a grand presentation. Cloaked in a silky Connecticut Shade wrapper and filled with the Fuente family’s signature blend of Dominican long-fillers, the Canones Natural offers a smooth, slow burn that lets you savor the artistry of every puff.
The flavor profile leans toward the mellow-to-medium side, showcasing creamy cedar, toasted nuts, and light spice, with gentle notes of sweet hay and vanilla weaving throughout. The Connecticut wrapper adds just enough natural sweetness to keep things interesting without overpowering the palate. Despite its impressive size, the draw remains effortless, and the smoke is cool and aromatic — perfect for an afternoon on the patio or a quiet evening unwind.
Handcrafted to perfection in the Dominican Republic, the Canones Natural embodies everything cigar enthusiasts love about the Fuente legacy: flawless construction, dependable consistency, and timeless flavor. It’s a cigar for those who appreciate quality over flash — a smooth, elegant experience designed to last.
Great golf course essential!
I smoked these many years ago, then switched to lower-priced Romeo y Julieta (and other) cigars for a while. Recently, I decided to splurge and bought a couple of boxes of Canone naturals.
This is a very enjoyable smoke, more mild than medium. I recall them as stronger years ago, but that may be a misconception based on the cheaper, medium-full cigars I had switched to. This titanic cigar will easily go for two hours, closer to three if you nurse it. Line up a few hits of fine Scotch or Cognac and it's heaven on Earth!
My ONLY gripe is that you have to be VERY careful to light these evenly, otherwise they tend to burn unevenly. Sometimes it will correct itself, sometimes you have to help it a bit. Some of the wrapper leaves seem to have thick stems or veins. This is the only reason preventing a Quality five rating. If you prefer a more robust flavor and nuttier taste, try the Maduro wrapper Canones.
