The Ferio Tego Metropolitan Host Petites bring one of Metropolitan’s most distinctive blends into a genuinely small 4" x 34 format. Host has long occupied its own place in the Metropolitan portfolio, offering a gentler, more traditional style built around a Connecticut Shade wrapper and Dominican tobaccos. Made by the Quesada family in the Dominican Republic, it’s an old-school blend that favors finesse and aroma over strength.
At just 34 ring, the Petites naturally put considerable emphasis on the wrapper. The smoke is creamy and lightly woody, with toasted tobacco and a restrained natural sweetness rather than a long parade of tasting notes. The Dominican tobacco underneath provides just enough depth to keep the cigar interesting, while the slender proportions make smoking cadence particularly important. Give it time and the Host remains cool, aromatic and nicely composed.
The Host Petites make sense for the smoker who appreciates traditional small cigars rather than simply tolerating them when time is short. They’re particularly well suited to morning coffee, a short break or the end of an evening when another full-sized cigar isn't in the cards. Keep a few in the humidor—at 4 x 34, Host delivers a proper cigar experience without asking for much of your time.
