The Alec Bradley brand was named in honor of founder Alan Rubin’s young sons, Alec and Bradley, who have grown to become active in the family cigar business. The two brothers firmly established their cigar-making chops with their first venture, the Alec & Bradley Blind Faith series. For their second release, they upped the ante by partnering with the one and only Ernesto Perez-Carrillo to create the Alec & Bradley Gatekeeper.
The all-star team of cigar makers has assembled a bevy of luscious Nicaraguan and Dominican long-filler tobaccos to form the foundation of the 5.1" x 42 Gatekeeper Corona. These tobaccos are enveloped by a Nicaraguan binder leaf and a mouthwatering Ecuadorian Habano wrapper leaf.
The expertly balanced blend delivers a complex, medium-bodied smoke that ventures tantalizingly close to the medium-full range. The hour or so smoke keeps the tastebuds enthralled while dishing out spice, leather, and earth flavors topped off by splashes of sweetness before a deftly orchestrated finale.
The Alec & Bradley Gatekeeper is a stunning follow-up to the duo’s first entry that delivers a well-rounded yet approachable smoke that should please even the most hardened palate. Enjoy with your favorite small-batch bourbon for a tasty cigar pairing escape.
