The Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich Habano Toro H comes from the collaboration between Espinosa Premium Cigars and celebrity chef Guy Fieri, but the cigar itself is grounded firmly in serious tobacco. Fieri worked with Erik Espinosa and his team for roughly 18 months developing Knuckle Sandwich before its 2022 debut. Production was placed with A.J. Fernandez at the San Lotano factory in Nicaragua, with the Habano offering the more traditional expression of the original Knuckle Sandwich blends.
An Ecuadorian Habano wrapper surrounds Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. The 6" x 54 Toro H gives the Nicaraguan core a little more prominence than the Robusto while still allowing the wrapper to contribute plenty of aroma and character. Expect a cedar-driven profile with toasted tobacco, restrained pepper and a touch of natural sweetness. There is some strength underneath, but the blend is more interested in balance and good tobacco than making a show of its power.
