TheMontecristo Espada Conquistador Magnum Especial takes the sophisticated Conquistador blend and gives it the broadest canvas in the collection. At6" x 60, this is a substantial cigar, but one whose generous proportions are well suited to the depth and richness of the Plasencia-grown tobaccos at its core.
Developed byRafael Nodal in collaboration with the Plasencia family, Conquistador is a true Nicaraguan puro, bringing together tobacco from four of the country's most important growing regions. AJalapa wrapper surrounds anOmetepe binder, with fillers fromCondega and Estelí—a combination chosen to deliver greater intensity than the original Espada while remaining more restrained than Espada Oscuro.
The Magnum Especial's 60-ring format changes the balance in an interesting way. The larger filler proportion brings greater breadth and volume to the smoke, while the Jalapa wrapper contributes refinement and natural sweetness around a deeper core of earth, cedar, coffee and measured Nicaraguan spice.
For smokers who favor large-ring cigars, theConquistador Magnum Especial makes particularly good sense. It is expansive and richly textured without sacrificing the polish that defines Espada—a big-format Montecristo built around serious Nicaraguan tobacco rather than size alone.
