Oliva's Master Blends series was conceived around a simple but demanding principle: exceptional tobacco harvests deserve blends of their own. Introduced in 2006,Master Blends 3, also known as Liga Maestra, is the third expression of that philosophy, bringing together a rich, sun-grown Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and ligero-rich long-filler tobaccos. TheOliva Master Blends 3 Sampler offers four distinctive vitolas of this celebrated blend, providing an opportunity to appreciate how cigar proportions influence the character of carefully selected tobacco.
The collection includes aRobusto, Double Robusto, Torpedo and Churchill, each offering a different relationship between the Broadleaf wrapper and the Nicaraguan filler. The blend is full-bodied and richly textured, withearthy tobacco, dark cocoa, roasted coffee and measured spice. The smaller formats emphasize the wrapper's character, while the longer Churchill and Torpedo provide a more leisurely expression of the blend. Tasting the four side by side reveals nuances that might otherwise go unnoticed.
For the experienced Oliva enthusiast, this sampler is an invitation to explore one of the company's most distinguished blends beyond a single familiar size. Presented as a four-cigar assortment with an Oliva guillotine cutter, it also makes a thoughtful gift for a serious cigar smoker.Add one to your humidor and discover which vitola best expresses the richness and complexity of Master Blends 3.
